Boycott The Cold

I don’t know about you but I really hate despise the winter, I hate everything about it. I hate the cold, I hate the snow, I hate the salt that turns your your newly washed black car into a old white piece of junk. Your skin just gets dryer and dryer, and begins to crack, your hair stands on end because of the static from the dryness of the air. I hate the winter. I cannot wait for the summer,

Sunday was the first ever “Boycott the Cold Cookout”

and neither could my friend Rob, in fact he was so desperate for warm weather that he devoted a day to cheat the winter. Sunday was the first ever “Boycott the Cold Cookout”, yes he barbecued. Jenny and I jumped into the car after church and drove across the street to Robs house, we drove because it was so stinking cold. When we got there he was already starting up the coals, and getting the meat ready. He stood outside grilling while the rest of us sat inside where it was warm, let me tell you I did not envy him one bit. I was tempted at first to suggest we eat outside at a picnic table, but then my better judgment came over me. He grilled the classic hamburgers and hot dogs, however these hamburgers were huge! They were right around a pound each… mmmm clogged arteries. After we all ate the wonderfully grilled food, we decided to play some tennis, this was the first time I had ever played tennis and frankly I think I did quite well. O’kay it wasn’t real tennis, we played it on Nintendo Wii, pronounced wee. This is the coolest game system ever, the controllers really sense your movements, you swing the controller and the racket swings in the game, I was thoroughly amazed. After a while of playing tennis and making immature jokes about the name of the game system it was time for us to leave, I was sad to go, I was leaving summer to enter winter again. I didn’t cry, because if I cried… the winter would have won.
