Yes I went back to the tumblog. To be honest I completely forgot about this style of blogging until Ben went back to it. I still believe that this gives me so much more freedom than before and I am not sure why I stopped in the first place. I think it was mainly me listening to some of my readers… which ultimately I think was a mistake. This is so much easier for me and I am able to share my findings with you faster. Ben actually wrote a great post that puts the reason I like this style into words a lot better than I can.
… Most of the topics I’d like to write about are already written about elsewhere, and are written better than I ever could write. I’ll get an idea for an essay and then I’ll remember, “Oh, I read this same thing over on this other site.” I can’t justify writing about the same stuff that other people do unless I have a unique viewpoint. And what I’ve found is that my opinion is rarely unique to me. There are hundreds of other bloggers out there who have similar views and have already written about them. I’d much rather link them and add my own commentary that regurgitate it all over again.
“Well, what about the design Nick?” You are right I am no longer using the design I created for the site, it is for download though BTW. I am using the Tumble-Hybrid Theme by Shawn Anthony. I am going to be using this as a base, really I just forgot how to set up a tumblog here on wordpress. This is a nice solid theme and I feel I can modify it to my liking fairly easily. So in the next few days I will be playing around with this and getting things together. Enjoy.
BTW, you can still comment on all the entries here, if you hover over any of the entries a little pound (#) sign will appear and the pound sign will take you to the permalink where you can comment.

what do you like about this style vs. your traditional style..Just wondering, as I am new to this.
Lacey, that’s a great question. With the traditional style you are pretty much limited to one certain type of post, that being a lengthy essay style. But with this I can simpley post videos or pictures or just plain links I find interesting. And this theme gives me a great platform to do that.
Thats cool…I dont think I can do this at blogger..but i like blogger thus far. I do like this style though.
In order to have it set up like this you would need to change some php and css, not something that can be done with blogger. But it is a lot of fun. However, this can get dangerous for me, I may start wanting to post to much and clutter up the place with a bunch of crap that is no interest to anyone… including myself.
IMHO…..I like your other one much better. It was more “you.”

Just out of curiosity, how was is more “me”?
It was more “you” because of the graphics and the layout. It seemed easier to read and easier to get into the archives. It felt like a website instead of a blog site.

Like I said in the post I was going to change the theme but keep the way the content was displayed. But I don’t know what I am doing right now.
