Inconvenient Truth for Al Gore

Al Gore used a scene from “The Day After Tomorrow” in his movie “An Inconvenient Truth” and tried to pass it off as “real footage”! And he isn’t responding to any Calls in regards to this… sad.

KAREN GOULEKAS (VISUAL EFFECTS SUPERVISOR)
Yeah, that’s, that’s our shot. That’s a fully computer generated shot. There’s nothing real in there.

I find it sad that even though they’re all shocked about it, they still give him a pass saying that “yeah it’s fake but the science is still there, and it’s still educational”

It’s a LIE to use inaccurate information and pass it off as reality. If he purposefully used the clip to make a statement he should have at the very least let us KNOW it was a CGI shot so the viewer would be more informed.

Dishonesty does nothing for gaining credibility and awareness for a cause. That would be like me trying to spread awareness about some rare disease and using scenes loaded with dead bodies strewn across the land from Resident Evil as “documentary footage”.

Honestly, I don’t know what else to say… you said it James.
